Mie Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. is a leading gelation product manufacturer based in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1956, we bring over 60 years of expertise in gelation technology to develop high-quality Hot & Cool gel packs for medical, healthcare, industrial, and home use.
In addition to our original product lines, we offer OEM solutions to design and customize gel packs tailored to our customers' specific needs.
All of our products are proudly made in Japan, with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Our gel materials have passed safety tests, including Acute Oral Toxicity, Skin Irritation, and Eye Irritation tests conducted by the Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL).
For medical applications, our gel packs are registered as Class I medical devices in Japan, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards for hospital and clinical use.

1956 Mie Chemical Industry Co., Ltd was established
1966 Started manufacturing Cool Gel Packs for food delivery and ICE Pillows
1983 Started manufacturing Hot Gel Packs
1987 Built the factory for manufacturing Cool Gel Packs
1999 Started OEM supply for a major domestic company
2004 Obtained ISO 9001
2005 Obtained the license for manufacturing and selling medical device class I
2008 Founded Japan Cool Pack Industry Association and the former president was appointed as the first
chairman of the association
2016 Mr. Daisuke Yamakawa was appointed as the president of the company
2018 Selected as “The Leading Company of The Region’s Future” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and
Industry (METI)
2020 Selected as “The Successful Small to Medium Enterprises 300” by the Small and Medium Enterprise
Agency
2022 Selected as “One of The Best CSR Companies in Mie Prefecture” and received The Good Design
